No Shave November is a community event in which participants do not shave for the entire month of November. This event is usually participated in for awareness of prostate cancer. Generally one is to shave on the night of October the 31st to participate. Both men and women participate in the month-long event, with men abstaining from shaving their beards, and women their armpits or legs. If one wishes to go through the proper channels to sign up, they would typically register at www.movember.com. In 2010, a website was mounted explaining the rules of the event, including #1 "No shaving in November and #2 "NO shaving in November.
